SF9 Reaction: When you don't know them

Youngbin meets you through friends at a small get together. You begin chatting and he realises how much you both have in common. When you ask him what he does for a living he finds himself smiling and awkwardly looking at his feet. He is the type to make up an elaborate story about being a lion tamer or racing car driver and enjoy the cute/shocked look on your face. He finds you so innocent and adorable that he can't keep himself away from you. Eventually when someone else joins the conversation and asks him about his groups comeback, it eventually clicks in your mind who he is. You apologise profusely and he just waves it off as nothing. You reach out to shake his hand and ask for his name after being introduced and his eyes grow to be the size of saucers. After you break away from others to get yourself a drink, he would be super open and ask you out on a date.

Taeyang is another one who would be open about his career when you first meet. He isn't too shocked you don't recognise him but he definitely uses the opportunity to get to know you more whilst explaining about himself. By the end of the night you are both entrapped in a discussion about music, movies and the meaning of life. His softness and warmth makes you feel a sense of comfort you didn't know existed. It will be you who makes the first move by passing him your number and kissing him on the cheek before quickly leaving the venue. Safe to say you already have your next several dates planned together.

Hwiyoung would enter your friends birthday party looking all cool and dripping with confidence. Confidence which is knocked when you ask for his name. "should we go do the dance game first?" one of your friends hanari asked as the rest of you nodded and formed a circle around the machine. as you and hanari went up last after laughing at the failures of your other friends, the two of you stretched quickly before starting to dance.

gaining the attention of other people besides your friends, the two of you continued with their cheers. soo hyuk was sitting with his friends, quickly glancing over at where your group of friends was, going back to playing games on their phones as per their usual warm-up for the games. two guys passed by his table as they talked to each other, mentioning you and your friends. "i would so smash the one in the white two-piece on the right side. she's smoking hot bro. just one glance at her ass and you want her to wet your dick." one of them said as they walked over to the motorcycle racing game.

meeting up with your newly acquainted friends, the twelve of you broke up into partners, determined to win and beat one another. properly introducing yourself to the one whose name you learned as johnny, chatted happily as you prepared to compete. going up on the stage and starting to dance to the song that was playing (have mercy), soo hyuk didn't realize the dance to the song could be any sexier than it already was.

it took him a quarter way through the song to realize you were purposely outdoing yourself with the song, adding extra waves or twerking harder than usual. to say he was turned on was an understatement, he was amused and watched your movements, raising a brow in amusement as he poked his cheek with his tongue, prompting you to keep your antics up.

once you were the final winner and were leaving with your friends, making a promise to hang out with johnny and his friends again next time. "we're going to go ahead and leave early. we've got another event to attend. we had fun, thanks, guys." soo hyuk said as he grabbed your wrist and dragged you to the car, shoving you in roughly as he got in the driver's side.

"was it fun? pushing my buttons, i mean," he questioned through gritted teeth as he drove off, knuckled gripping the steering wheel harshly. deciding to play innocent and tilt your head to the side, you hummed out. "what do you mean? it was fun at the arcade with them though, i think i danced the shit out of my legs though." you said as innocently as you could, attempting to hide the shit-eating grin on your face. "keep it up and i will break that pussy of yours right now."

Jaeyoon pursues something that's invisible to the eyes, the belief that love surely exists, trusts that there will be no lies in that love, bets that's the present will perfect the future self. Wonders if there is an absolute standard to 'do well' to be good at something. He can only fathom the reality of the formless things he follows, as if he is following a path in the dark. But he doesn't doubt the existence of them. Instead, he just throws endless questions at himself. Sometimes he sinks into the abyss, entangled in worries derived from questions, but he never denies the existence of the things he pursues.

Is there anything sort of 'It would nice if you ask me this' kind of story for this interview?

Wow, It's the first time i have been asked such question in an interview. I really didn't think of it (laughs)

Since this is the last interview before enlistment, I wish to leave a story that Jaeyoon wishes to tell today.

What would be good? I like the bright and light stories i have told through various contents but today I feel like it would be good to talk about something that's settled deep in my mind.

I was going to ask 'gukguy*' Jaeyoon to recommend me his favourite rice soup restaurant; but i will ask you when we meet the next time. (laughs) With enlistment just around the corner how do you feel?

To be honest before the date came out I kept wondering 'Oh, am i really going?'* It seemed like a long way off, but it only just hit me when the date came out. But it doesn't mean i haven't thought about it all; i had a lot of conservations about it since an year with our group members Youngbin hyung and Inseong hyung who enlisted first. And the conclusion was 'For the remaining time let's show our fans what we want to show as much our fan's heart desire.' I have spent every moment working hard to yield a pleasurable result to keep up that promise.I feel a lot better now. I knew the fans were anxious because they didn't know when I would enlist, but I felt really sorry until the very end for not being able to say anything.

Did you get any advice related to military life from the members who enlisted first and E-TION of ONF, who is in charge of Pat of 'Pat and Mat'?

Since i was very curious about a lot of things, i ask this and that first. In fact i even contacted E-TION yesterday. Ofcourse advise is very helpful but it doesn't make sense as in the end i guess i can only know when i experience it. I'm just envious everyone is about to be discharged (laughs). Now rather than seeking advice I'm focused on working hard on planning what part of myself i would fill in during the time spend there once i enlist.

Did you make any kind of plans?

I want to do things that I couldn't do before during promotions, so I'm going to focus on reading and studying. First of all i'll take the book 'Dollargut Dream Department Store' that i received as gift from my sister. As for the other books, I'll go to the bookstore before enlisting and buy them. I'm going to learn languages such as English, Japanese. Meanwhile I felt sorry for not being able to study properly even though I felt like I wasn't good enough.

I wanted to get an idea for the pictorial concept, so I asked about your favorite movies in advance.I was surprising to hear the title of a romance movies gushing

Haha, That's right. Usually guys my age like SF or hero series but I like the romance genre. Movies like <The Notebook>, <About Time>, <One Day> are my favourite.

I noticed that in the list, there is also <Titanic>, which was released a long time ago.

Hwiyoung, our group member really likes movies, and asked to me watch <Titanic> with him. Since it is such a famous work, I thought it would be nice to see it at least once, so we watched it together. In the movie Jack's fate was really sad but my heart goes out more to Rose. My heart hurts by just imagining that I have to live out the rest of my days after losing a loved one right in front of my eyes. The scene were they first met was also very memorable.

What's the most memorable movie for Jaeyoon?

I like <The Curious Case of Benjamin Button>. I was so impressed with the movie that I once looked only for Brad Pitt's work.

What part of the movie swayed your mind?

The protagonist keeps getting younger, and the people he loves around him get older. In life the moment they share the same time of life is close to the blink of an eye. Watching the movie made me imagine how sad it must be to miss eachother living through different years. At the same time, I made a pledge to be good to the precious people around me who are going through the same time right now.

Your ability to empathize is extraordinary

I'm the type to have a lot of thoughts, as i often assume this and that and immerse myself in those i guess. However, there are too many thoughts; it does not stop at assuming the situation. There are times when the worry derived from this always becomes too exhausting like biting ones own tail is burdensome. I always make up my mind to reduce these thoughts but it's not easy.

I know how you feel because we have similar tendencies. Even if I manage to get rid of my thoughts, I wonder, 'Oh Am I allowed to live without thinking like this.' and worry about it.

That's right. If you worry a little less than usual you think, 'Am I living too thoughtlessly?' and worry about it. There aren't many people with this tendency, so I haven't talked about it anywhere but If i don't worry too much like this i often find myself wondering if I'm too lackadaisical

I can't help but be concerned it must be very tiring for you. I wonder how do you deal with stress?

As it's my natural inclination it's not easy to reduce the thoughts itself. So conversely i imagine very possible scenario. Should I says it's fighting fire with fire? To think about it endlessly until you can think of no more case scenarios. When you already assume the worst possible scenario you can deal with any unexpected issues that may arise. You tell yourself 'see its just this. the situation like that don't usually happen ,you don't have to worry a lot' and comfort yourself. But there are times when my worst fears came true. Then next time you have to be more careful with what you imagine. (laughs)

It's not a weakness. It's about being careful without making a hasty decision about any situation. It's not easy to be sure of something easily in the first place, but is there something you firmly believe in?

I think the answer that 'I still firmly believe' is more accurate I have faith in 'love'. No matter what form or method, love definitely exists, and I believe there are no lies when it's all about love. I think there were no lies in all the moments when I shared my heart with the people around me, such as the moments when I exchanged love with my parents and the moments when I exchanged love with the fans.

Then what may be something where lies can exist?

Values of things that are not necessarily proportional to the universal estimate. Something like money could be an example.A high amount of money does not necessarily mean that its value is high and vice versa. In case you misunderstand, i have no experience with such money.(laughs)

The fact that the name of the series for your own content is not named 'I am good' but 'I can do well' also seems to reflect your personality. The beginning of the series was small, but now it has become the content that symbolize Jaeyoon.

It wasn't started with a huge plan. During the pandemic the difficult situation of not being able to meet fans was very hard and i felt empty. I wanted to see my fans so much, and I wanted to convey my feeling, but the only possible way was writing and video. I planned various contents to communicate with fans in real time through video. I thought that the story would be richer if I showed what I was doing rather than just talking. Coincidentally, a lot of contents such as making Dalgona and Tanghulu were uploaded on video sites. So I thought to start by showing them how to make those while having a conversation

This is also a 'moment of exchange of love with no lies' with fans. You been saying that you can do a lot of things well, but I'm curious about what do you really want to do well.

First of all and Second of all and Third of all it's to sing

What is the criterion in singing 'to do well'?

You have no idea how long I've been wondering about the same. 'Does it mean to be good at it?' 'Is there a single ultimate point to reach?' 'Is self-satisfaction the criteria?' There was a time when i thought that absolute standards definitely existed. As I thought about it over and over again i started thinking 'Just as there are many colors in the world or just as we all have different appearances; the standard of 'doing well' as well might be different. As I progress little by little i keep asking myself; 'what's my own color'. But then when i hit a wall i start doubting myself 'What if there is an absolute standard'. To be honest it's a problem that I can't find an answer to now, so these days I'm trying to focus on and think 'Lee Jaeyoon the person is singing right now' Then, even if you hit a wall; i will have no choice but to overcome it and to learn from it and refine oneself one by one based on that experiences.

As I said earlier, the goal of today's interview is to capture the traces Jaeyoon wants to leave behind. What's that something you want to tell us.

Superficially the trace before i cut my hair, if I speak ideologically its my today's time and thoughts. I think by keeping a record of one day in March that I spent, I have one more moment to share with my fans.

I am curious on what do Lee Jaeyoon as a person wants to leave behind lastly in his life.

Rather than wanting to leave behind, wouldn't it be what of me as a person that's left behind.? Suppose I'm 80 years old, I guess as a person all the things Lee Jaeyoon experienced for 80 years is what will be left of me.

What would that look like?

I received a lot of love while working as Jaeyoon of SF9. After exchanging such a precious affection, I think the inner me will be very rich. As I said before, I believe in the power of love

Jaeyoon's eyes sparkled when he talked about the things he believed in, and a shy smile appeared on his lips. Was it the concern his talks may sounds like 'chasing the clouds'. In fact, if he had only followed what he could clearly see, he would not have asked himself so many questions or agonized endlessly to find answers to those questions. That's If you just accept only what you see without doubt or second guess. However all things that have a form transforms and all that can be seen may look distorted to some. If there is something that don't transform and is non distorted its the nature of formlessness.

So, what Jaeyoon pursues becomes an unchanging buoy on the sea he sails on. Of course, on a day with strong winds, it may be shaken endlessly and sometimes be swept away by strong currents but the direction these signs point to is always straight and honest.❤️

well, either way, my boyfriends are supposed to share their hoodies with their partner, right 💀💀 Let me say, I absolutely LOVE both of their styles. It fits them each so perfectly. I feel like ro is sharp lines, long and slender and elegant to fit his frame and ji is oversized hoodies and baggy pants and soft and excess comfort. So in terms of me adopting said style, I’d go for hannie. He’s definitely more in my comfort zone.

I don’t know if this is like style of music or fashion style or something else but i’ll go with fashion? You and Minho didn’t became immediately best friends it was a really progressive thing, at first when becoming close to Stray Kids to you Minho was just one of the fun hyungs and shared sometimes a good laugh with but nothing else, you knew tho he was quite close to Seonghwa. One time Minho asked Seonghwa backstage when he was free to hang out and as you were just near, spontaneously he invited you too knowing that both of you weren’t close enough and had no intention to hang out it was only a polite formality but Seonghwa answered naively as you were about to kindly refuse “Eden isn’t it the day we both free?” He said “No,no you are probably wrong hyung i have things this d-“ you answered but he insisted “No but I remember you said you would do nothing on that day you even complained about it!” To which Minho said “He must be busy you shouldn’t force him-“ and Seonghwa concluded “He’s just shy he will come he can’t reject his hyungs like this anyway what a punk trying to escape it lying aren’t you?”. After that you just surrendered and y’all went for a coffee in cafe managed by Seonghwa’s cousin that assured they would be no fans, as the new formed trio sat down Seonghwa got a sudden emergency and had to leave but since a free day is difficult to have and you just arrived ,awkwardly you and Minho had to stay, as you both knew it couldn’t get worst you inexplicably started to laugh about how awkward it was and neither of you wanted to be there on your free day, slowly it became a conversation and as in late afternoon Seonghwa tried to call you to apologize feeling you would kill him at home he was surprised to see you two were still together and telling him to says what he had to say fast as you and Minho where in the middle of a debate. After that it didn’t took long for them to have the bond they have now.

The friendship:

You two together become the gossip duo literally, if something happens in your life and you need immediate physical advices and mental support you call Minho at 4am and be sure he will be there in less than an hour. Eden has also the ability to understand what Minho’s thinking or wanting to say in a scary way. As Minho has more friends than it seems sometimes Eden is quite afraid to be too clingy and make him escape as for him spending all his free time with Minho isn’t an issue as he never gets bored of him, even in skinship he feels like doing too much will make it seem like Minho is his only friend. How you became friends:

There it’s quite an unexpected combo but with a quite normal story, initially you wanted to make friends with Jake for the Aussie bond but Sunoo took you by surprise as he was really excited to meet you the first time you were introduced to Enhypen and people a litlle too energetic like him usually annoys you or when someone’s over gentleness seems fake he remembered you a litlle of Wooyoung too but strangely you saw he was sincere and that was just his nature and as he was a litlle shy he asked your number to Soobin (when you were still close) and the same day wrote you, fast you met again and almost instantly got along as it’s easy to get close to someone like Sunoo you felt at ease and got affection for him soon. Your schedule don’t often coincide and as Sunoo is a rookie you don’t have much free time but the litlle he has he gives priority to you and you text each other often maybe the most with the fact you can’t meet him like your other friends, with time tho it’s easier to meet.

Your friendship:

You feel the fact you are older (grandpa vibe) and in the beginning felt like you were hanging with a kid (like with most of enha even tho you get along better with the maknae line) and as Sunoo grew he was a lot more comfortable with you and less admirative or complimenting added to the fact you don’t see often, and when you asked to hang out with his group of friends who are younger too he was like why would you, you often felt a litlle jealous in the time before knowing actually Sunoo wanted to gatekeep you as his friends likes you too what made you reassured but that made the relation be a lot of on and off. Sunoo being savage about the skinship in award show and Eden telling him to be discreet is the real show he for sure wanna show off their friendship. What’s fun there is that Liz did pretty much all alone and it’s really a friend to lover trope, Liz took her time or Eden just didn’t took the signals but it was a really slow thing also because Eden was still healing of his past two failures and Liz was still growing out of her rookie phase and he didn’t really saw her as a “romantical option” even when he started to get the hints he was kinda in the friend zone vibe even tho he liked both her appearance and personality but Liz was so determined that she would get what she wanted lmao..so litlle by litlle Eden surrendered and decided to try out an “us” and that was definitely a good choice for both.

Your relationship: First of all Yeonjun and you are close and as he was born 1 day later than you you created the tradition to celebrate together your birthday you would spend the 12th of September together all day then at midnight it was Yeonjun turn, and even did birthday v-live together. Stray Kids: You made friend with Hyunjin trough Jongho and Changbin through Wooyoung that made you meet Felix aussie like you that also made you meet Bangchan (that then was the one to introduce you to Xdinary Heroes). Probably one of the group you the closest too as you are close to a lot of the members.

What do Stray Kids thinks of Eden and Eden of them: They admire him a lot and when he comes to the dorm they are all overly compliments him even tho sometimes Eden feels it’s exaggerated. Remember about the family feeling with Ateez? Sometimes he finds it as well in Stray kids dorm and he feels a real friendship bond there he also thinks Stray Kids are fun and that there’s no awkward feeling with anyone of the members. Often when Eden goes back to his dorm Stray Kids is like “You should debut as our new member so you wouldn’t have to leave” and it make Eden thinks even tho Ateez is big how would have been things if he debuted in a bigger group under a biggest agency or if they won Kingdom instead where would they be now? At Stray Kids place maybe and he could be the one saying that.

TXT: Ok so TXT is a group you are close to..so close that you and other members have beefs regularly..basically you really close to all of them and have been for a long time only that you argue a lot and it’s often a Yeonjun,Wooyoung vs Changbin Eden but of course you go trough those things as adult. You sometimes hang with Hyunjin,Jeongin and Beomgyu altogether too but you less close to that group.

Xdinary Heroes: As soon as your Stray Kids friends knew you where a fan of their younger group they told them about it and when you were in the backstage of a music show with Ateez they ran to you bowing and introducing themselves, saying they were equally fans. You didn’t had the chance to get close to one of them in particular but with time everyone dropped the formalities.

Enhypen: Danielle wanted to present you to Jake but before she had time to do so one time that you were hanging around with TXT you met the full group you got along with all of them and in particular Sunoo (who became your actual best friend even trough the age gap)

Newjeans: You got to know Hanni at a Gucci event and she introduced you to Danielle who had aussie descents like you after that you met the other members too and did TikTok challenges with them.

IVE: You met them in the backstage of a music festival for the first time and congratulated them on their latest release after that you got close to Liz,Yujin and Rei. (You were already close to Liz tho)

G-Idle: You were a big fan of Soyeon work and after you met her and became close often coming “secretly” to the dorm, you naturally grew close to each one of the members and surprisingly you consider all of them close friend they as well are the girl group you closer to.

Eden scandals:

Two timers: Fake you didn’t even knew that girl personally and honestly it seemed absurd to you. Company just made a denying statement and you didn’t participated to Inception promotions for a week as at that time they were a lot of scandals going on and idols leaving their groups.

Han Sohee dating rumours: Fake You met her for the first time at the Balenciaga event in Italy she was really anxious and was impressed by how calm and self-confident you seemed to be (even if you were actually stressing like her) photographers asked you two to pose together and after that she attempted a small talk you two ended by exchanging numbers but after the rumors blew up none of you dared text the other one as it was quite awkward. The scandal had a positive effect and gave you popularity.

Club scandal: True You went clubbing with Holland (Soloist) and Jun (a.c.e.) in a club that has a reputation of being frequented by LGBT and as during the promotions of your BL you said it wasn’t a problem for you to kiss a boy people started making assumptions about your sexuality especially k-nets you made an apology letter for “clubbing” and didn’t participated in entertainment programs and music show for the following week. We started the year 2022 with a bump!

January promised to be promising, but not everyone was lucky enough to start the new year peacefully. Among those on the candlestick were: Lee Taemin and his unexpected transfer from the army to public service. Still the situation of what exactly happened remains unexplained. Hwiyoung and Chani of SF9 were detained for violating regulations on being in quarantine by which the police were summoned. At the very end of the month we also got an update on former BigBang star Seungri, who pleaded guilty and thus reduced his sentence to one year and six months in prison.

February was not any quieter as, once again, we were informed of a surprising but very pleasant piece of news. Namely, Hyuna and Dawn got engaged. Of the less pleasant ones, T.O.P of BigBang left the YG label.

Wondae ended up leaving the DKZ in March after an extended hiatus due to a serious shoulder injury. His doctor was said to have recommended constant rehabilitation in the future, leading to his withdrawal from the group.

April for Exo fans brought sad news, namely, on EXO's 10th anniversary, Lay published a handwritten letter in English and Korean announcing his departure from SM Entertainment. Likewise, HYBE has no luck with its new team Le Sserafim, as Kim Ga-ram was accused of being a bully at school in April. In addition, the team itself this month was accused not only of appropriate and highly controversial choreography or clothing for the girls, but also of copying from other teams. Also unexpectedly, 2NE1 gave a surprise performance at Coachella.

In August, news of a rigged vote in QUEENDOM 2 hit the public. Many fans could not believe that Mnet was honest in its decision-making when announcing the results. Also in August, Girls' Generation returned after 5 years in a full band especially for their anniversary.

September for fans of both BTS and Blackpink was very emotional. On November 30, HyunA announces its parting of ways with DAWN. And on November 25, BlockBerryCreative announced Chuu's removal from LOONA.  Meanwhile, Jungkook was scheduled to sing with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi at the World Cup opening ceremony on November 20.

We end December with the breakup of band bugAboo. And iKON has left YG and the group members will now promote under other labels. And NCTzen are experiencing a nightmare after four NCT members, Taeil, Johnny, Jaehyun and Jungwoo, suffered injuries while recording a commercial.

PERSONALITY: There’s a certain set of mental images that drudge up when one hears the phrase ‘good southern boy’ and maybe just a small handful are true when it comes to Hunter. Born in the swamp town of St. Martinville, Louisiana, Hunter has all the manners and sayings of this home in his behaviors but much like the murky waters, there’s mystery and thrill under his surface.

That baby boy would grow up to help that woman who took him in, running a metaphysical supply shop when she noticed his magical abilities at the age of thirteen.    

From that day when he first cast a protection shield up over her and himself during a store robbery, Hunter was trained to protect those around him and to harness his magic as much as he could. With age though, the two-person family found that honing his abilities wasn’t as easy as they make it seems in fantasy books.
